Let's Pretend Play

I came across these on Flickr and was instantly in love. I thought of all the fun my daughters would have. I quickly went thru etsy to find her, lookmamamadeit, and she is no longer in business or hasn't updated her store for about a year now. BOO
Okay so back to Etsy I go. But don't you just love the dessert buffet. Oh and I think the cakes are miniature boxes too.

Kids Craft Spaces

Now that my oldest is loving crafts and "projects", as she likes to call them, I need to create a corner where she can be creative and learn organization. AHEM....okay mommy needs the organization part more than she does. Right now the crayons are in ziplock bags, there is really no work surface for her to draw, paint or destroy. These ideas really got me thinking and dreaming really about the lovely quiet time mommy can have while the girls are busily and quietly drawing and creating.
I would like to apologize for not posting sources. If you know the source please let me know. Thank you

Toss, Save or Donate

I just can't seem to get my playroom under control anymore. Now that the holidays have come and gone and the new year is approaching us I am feeling itchy all over. Seriously, it's all of the toys, toys, toys. I just purged and divided all of the toys that will be tossed, saved or donated.
I hope to have a beautiful and organized unit like this someday.

Then.... I started to take down the decorations and put them in their respectable bins. So nice and tidy and now I am noticing the garage is a disaster. I need to divide and conquer that area as well.

This inspiring photo below is a fave. So simple, organized and child friendly.

I guess I just want to start 2010 fresh, new, organized with a clean slate (literally) Does anyone else feel this way?

Cocoon Couture

Cocoon Couture offers a unique line of accessories for childrens spaces. these are a few of my faves for my daughters play space.
Cute shoulder bags which I think would be great for our trips to the library.

The enchanted forrest tree. I love that it could be used for hanging clothes, costumes or whatever your little one can think of.

Enchanted tree which is smaller in scale.

Dreamy owl bean bags. If you go here you will see such a cute assortment for both boys and girls. I just couldn't decide but this one is so cute.

A playroom for the family

I seriously need organization in the playroom. My daughter's toys are everywhere and it's getting out of hand. I am posting some inspiring photos for me to really get the ball rolling. ( I am sorry if your photo is posted and I did not give credit)
This is my favorite room. It has all of the components to a great play room. A seating area, craft area, organization, storage and media. Gotta love those built-ins.

Who doesn't love built-ins with molding.

This is exactly what I need to hold a tv and everything else that's lying around the floor right now.

Awww, love the shelving and chairs. A great place to start a library.
