Life Organization for my brain farts.

Lately I have been seeing these fabulous command centers everywhere. I know this isn't anything new but I think my mind is telling me that I need to get the ball rolling here and get myself organized. I have been extremely forgetful lately. It's like I've been in denial all this time. My plate is full and overwhelming and I think I just don't want to ask for help or find any for that matter.

I heart these organizational walls. It's got it all and it would be my brain but I just don't have the cash or even the space to have something like this. I of course did my research and came across two blogs that are sure to help me in this adventure.

and here

They have tons of great ideas and challenges to get you organized. I must warn you though, it's a bit too neat. But it's oh so pretty and you will be a bit jealous and feel like you are a slob with brain fart.

Finally a solution that may just work.

How genius is this idea? Head on over to here. This has become one of my fave blogs. I don't know how someone can have so many great ideas. Well she does and this one is genius.

I have a small hall closet and this door organizer is the solution to all of my knick knack, can't find a home for this crap problem.
I plan on using the pockets for diapers, wipes, cameras, hair bows, sunscreen.... Really just about everything that you need at your fingertips or just can't find a home for or the go to place for your husband. I am heading over to Target right now but first I am heading over to her blog to find some more great ideas.

This one needs a do-over

I need a resolution do-over.
It's only been 10 days and I feel like all of the great ideas, goals and dreams that I had in my little crazy dreamy head 10 days ago has now become clouded with the mundane day to day tasks that I do daily. YUP I am already over it. Then I came across this. It's probably the #1 reason why I never meet my goals. That and procrastination. Sounds easy enough, at least putting it down on paper does.

Specific

Measurable

Attainable

Reasonable

Timely

Here is my example:

Specific: I am going to lose 10 pounds

Measurable: lose 10 pounds and go to the gym 3 times per week

Attainable: Drop 1 to 2 pounds per week

Reasonable: I'd say it is. :)

Timely: By April 23 ( my b-day)

Ok so not sure how to go about it all. After all I am a SAHM and I have two toddlers so they are #1 priority. I need to work around their schedules too and let's not forget the hubby. He needs some attention too and food every once in awhile. I basically need to pencil "me" in and hope there aren't any illnesses or bumps on the road.

I think it's time for me to create a planner. I am not a list maker or calendar user but it's sounding pretty smart ( no pun intended) right about now. My brain has been foggy lately....which reminds me , I should start taking vitamins and brain food like omegas. (I see another goal to make)

I find that Simple Mom and Life Your Way are a great resource with tons of info on organization and free downloads to help you create that home planner.

Oh my as I sit here I am finding that I need to make a list of all the to do lists and checklists that I need to create.

I'll start tomorrow. It's winethirty here at Casa Bradfield. Goodnite.

Toss, Save or Donate

I just can't seem to get my playroom under control anymore. Now that the holidays have come and gone and the new year is approaching us I am feeling itchy all over. Seriously, it's all of the toys, toys, toys. I just purged and divided all of the toys that will be tossed, saved or donated.
I hope to have a beautiful and organized unit like this someday.

Then.... I started to take down the decorations and put them in their respectable bins. So nice and tidy and now I am noticing the garage is a disaster. I need to divide and conquer that area as well.

This inspiring photo below is a fave. So simple, organized and child friendly.

I guess I just want to start 2010 fresh, new, organized with a clean slate (literally) Does anyone else feel this way?

Family Command Center

I am feeling unorganized, cluttered and very forgetful these days. Just yesterday I tore my house apart looking for my keys. They were in my back pocket. My wallet was missing too and I left that in the car. I am surprised my kids are fed, changed and alive. This mommy brain is taking over and I think this would be the perfect solution.

Tools for the tired and time-starved

Mommy Track'd is a great site for busy moms (and dads too) who need a little help and guidance with chaos. I found these great tools (downloads) that are free to print from your own computer. This is just an example of one. There are more to choose from like menu planning and party planning. I just love free stuff.

A playroom for the family

I seriously need organization in the playroom. My daughter's toys are everywhere and it's getting out of hand. I am posting some inspiring photos for me to really get the ball rolling. ( I am sorry if your photo is posted and I did not give credit)
This is my favorite room. It has all of the components to a great play room. A seating area, craft area, organization, storage and media. Gotta love those built-ins.

Who doesn't love built-ins with molding.

This is exactly what I need to hold a tv and everything else that's lying around the floor right now.

Awww, love the shelving and chairs. A great place to start a library.

Shop Consciously

I love this kit from http://www.blueavocado.com/. Gro-pack grocery kits are genius. I love this in particular because it has a bag for every need. And you can wrap it all up and keep it small and cute in a carry all bag.

LobotoME.com

A must have for the busy person like me.These Brainisms lists can be purchased on her website lobotome.com or through etsy.com. There are planners too like the momME planner which I must have. It's weekly and is perfect for the mom who has a lot to do in a 24 hour period. Which I feel I do.
