I love this home. I dream of living in a single story ranch style home with a large tree in the front yard and a swing.

I heart white kitchens.

A bright master with french doors to let in the fresh air. I could take some serious naps in here.

I also heart white bathrooms. So fresh and so clean.

This house is in Studio City which is in the valley and the valley gets HOT. Must have a pool and there's more to this house like a outdoor bar and outdoor cabana for more naps.

Every once in awhile I get excited about things that are beautiful, motivational, inspirational, creative and dreamy

I stumbled upon this gorgeous kitchen in the blog world and I am in love. She comes from a renovated 1950's beach house in So Cal. You must check out her blog. Her whole house is dreamy. But the kitchen is by far the best. She thought of everything from an appliance kitchen pantry, a beverage center and huge island which she says is helpful for wrapping those presents.

I recently discovered this wonderful site thru another blog and I am so happy that I found it. So far I have made several dishes and they have all come out super delish. This is one of my faves.

This healthy green dish consists of swiss chard, brown rice, red cabbage, parsley, onion, bell pepper and fennel. YUMMY

Lately I have been in a funk, depressed and just not inspired. I love to cook and eat but even that bores me. Eating bores me?? I wanted fresh whole foods that made me feel light, energized and not bloated. This is where Cookus Interruptus saves the day for me. You really need to check out the site. Every recipe is videotaped with funny family interruptions, hence the name Cookus Interruptus. You can see it first before you decide to try making it. All of the dishes are super easy and very tasty. I find the site very entertaining as well. If you want to try some whole organic recipes this is a must see.

Love this months issue of Coastal Living. I especially love the Manhattan Beach house that is featured. I miss it there. My friends live there, my in-laws too. My husband grew up there. What am I doing in beautiful San Diego. Hmmmm

As I started doing some decorating around the house I noticed the most frequently used area, the kitchen sink, was not so cheery like the rest of the house. Seeing this picture got me thinking, why not? After all, it's where I hang out all day.

Spruce up your tiles DIY style

If you have plain boring porcelain white tiles and you are on a tight budget then you might want to consider these two DIY tricks for sprucing up your tiles.

Mibo tile tattoos are heavy duty peel and stick stickers that are impervious to water and moisture. They come in 4" and 6" squares and 3 different colors. You can purchase these at 2jane.com

For the serious DIY'er how about painting your tiles with epoxy paint. Refinishingonline.com sells kits that have everything for you to start your project.
This website is great because they have kits for just about anything. I am seriously looking into the cabinet painting kit. You have a choice of black , grey or white. I can't wait to tell my mom because her poor outdated kitchen needs some serious revamping.

Daydreaming Sunday

It's another June gloom Sunday. Can someone flick on the sun switch? Just here on the computer checking out my fave websites, daydreaming.....again. I thought I'd share with you my little bit of heaven this morning. Well, someday.

This is has to be one of my favorite kitchens ever. I love, love , love, white kitchens. I especially love the punches of color used. Aqua is so soothing and the white throughout makes it refreshing and gives it that beachy vibe that I love.

Love the little nook above the fridge holding all of the pretty aqua bottles and jars.
I love what they did with this antique hutch and how it was converted to a bar.

White, Clean & Fresh Kitchens

That is what I love about these kitchens. I love the neutral pallette that you can play with by adding various colors organically. Like a bowl of bright yellow lemons, a vase with soft pick roses or a pot of fresh green herbs.

A Pretty View

This is my project for this weekend. Pouring my dish soap in a pretty bottle like these.

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen washing sippy cups and baby bottles and wouldn't it be nice to have a pretty view? I love this idea of putting a small potted plant or maybe some flowers.
