A Mediterranean Garden, part 1

My husband and I have been discussing our front yard lately. It's a bare dirt pile with no color or life, except what's left of the grass. I am so embarrased by it. There is no curb appeal and it can be depressing driving up to such an ugly view of our front house. I have so many ideas in my head it's going to explode. We have lived in our new house for two and a half years and let me tell you so much has happend in those years. Two babies later.... I am so happy to report that I {we} can start planning to make the yard come to life (literally).
My plans for the space is to create a mediterranean garden with spanish touches. This is my favorite garden style and will go with the exterior of our home. This project will be DIY and I can't wait to start. I will keep you all posted.

Brenda I so feel your embarassment!! I have the same issue with our own yard! We are the only ones on our block with no flowers or shrubs or trees! We don't even own a lawn mower yet and the neighbours are so sweet they mow our front lawn for us!!! As soon as we get a mower I will repay their kindness! In the back yard...well what little grass is left gets eaten...the dogs and cats like to graze! lol. I can't wait to see your garden once its finished!I love mediterranean gardens too!
