I salute all the crafty moms out there

I am inspired by you who teach children about art, nature, sounds, sight and smells. What a wonderful adventure and experience to share with your children. It is a large world out there, and though I do my best to keep Brooklyn away from the TV, I don't think I am doing enough to show her the world. Of course I am not talking in the literal sense but how about what's in my backyard for starters. I am getting my pad and pen ready to start a plan to incorporate more art, creative play, imaginary play.....my list can go on and on. I am so excited for tomorrow. I will keep you posted on Brooklyn's 30 days of creative play.

Spring is in the air

I found these wonderful ideas on BHG. Spring time is here and even though it's a gloomy Saturday outside what better way to brighten and make a cheery place inside for the girls. These ideas are definitely doable and within my budget. Can't wait to get started.

My goal this year is to use the backyard more. I hope to create an outdoor living space where I can entertain, play with the girls, cook and just relax. These pics are inspiring and will be my tools and vision to create my escape.

This is my project for this weekend. Pouring my dish soap in a pretty bottle like these.

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen washing sippy cups and baby bottles and wouldn't it be nice to have a pretty view? I love this idea of putting a small potted plant or maybe some flowers.

AAAHHH, the great outdoors

Spring is here and on my mind lately. I am looking forward to longer days and my fave time of the day which I call cocktail hour. It's during the sun setting hours and the light is just calming, warm and relaxing to me. What better time to have a cocktail (hee-hee). Of course, my backyard will be the location and I am checking sites for inspiration. These are some of my faves.
